The Crossing Inn is the perfect stopover while you relax, sit back with a cold drink, and plan the many exciting things there are to see and discover.

Romantically isolated, and featuring stunning scenery, as well as plenty of the really "hard" country that is outback Australia, the Fitzroy River and surrounds has something to offer almost any tourist. Wild life everywhere, magical boating, and a river famous the world over for its barramundi fishing.

There are a number of tours available along the river, where the river, the wildlife (including the freshwater crocodiles) and the atmosphere itself are sure to impress.

Once you decide to range a little further from town, Geikie Gorge National Park, Wandjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek are all spectacular destinations, with geography and sights not found anywhere else in the world. If you are unwilling to make the trip yourself, there are a number of tour operators in town who will happily take you.

Mimbi Caves Tour

On the tour you will view ancient rock art galleries and see the most significant fish fossil site in the southern hemisphere, set amongst natural crystal clear rock pools and amazing rock formations.

Your tour will include traditional Dreamtime stories and an introduction to "Bush Tucker" and Medicines used by the indigenous people whom once lived here.

An authentic bush "billy" tea and damper will be served at the end of your tour at our campsite setting, allowing you to relax and reflect on your Mimbi Caves Adventure.

Experience Picturesque Geike Gorge and continue along the reef to secluded Diamond Gorge. Revel in the impressive Oscar Ranges which extend to the King Leopold Ranges.
